When people see weaver Jessica Fern Facette’s brightly-coloured table runners, wall hangings and shawls, all made by hand, they often have one question—do you teach classes?

So, this past April, she took the plunge.

World War II veteran sews second service

World War II veteran Joseph “Tony” Lewis, 90, of New London, spends his pastime sewing decorative pillows made from handkerchiefs to give to fellow seniors. He learned to sew in the Navy and later honed the craft with the help of his late wife. Tony also sews quilts. Full Article.
