DMC's Pink Quilt to be auctioned for the Susan G Komen Foundation
From August 2010 – November 2010 DMC held a Pink-Stitch-Along hosted on the DMC Blog at http://dmc-threads.com. DMC asked stitchers to stitch quilt blocks using the free patterns released on the DMC website so that they could be finished into a pink quilt. Over 100 artists submitted quilt blocks. This gorgeous quilt is the final product of everyone's efforts. DMC is proud to be auctioning this hand made piece, quilted and designed by Nancy DiDonato, and will donate 100% proceeds of the sale to the Susan G Komen Foundation.
The pink quilt measures 46” wide by 67” long. Auction closes Monday January 31st, 2011 at noon. If you are present at the CHA Winter Show in Los Angeles we urge you to come by the DMC Booth#1839 and hear when we announce the winning bid. A representative from the Susan G Komen Foundation Los Angeles Chapter will be present to accept the donation.
