Florin & Guilder

Florin and Guilder are names for the coins used in the Netherland before the Euro was introduced. They date back to ancient times when the tulip was the real currency of that land. These two tulip-inspired squares are stitched with silk thread on 32ct linen. Florin (left) is the August "Stitch Your Heart Out" chart. Guilder (right) was conceived to make good use of the leftover threads. Retail $4.00 each. Contact Ink Circles.

Glitz & Glamour Kunzite

Enjoy the pale pink colors in this design, inspired by the rare and relatively new gemstone. The counted canvas design is on 18 ct. white mono canvas, and is stitched with a variety of fun fibers including Kreinik #8 Braid and Hot-Fix Crystals; Gloriana Silk and Mill Hill Glass Seed Beads. Pumpkin Stew Scissor Case

The back of the case has a stitched verse "I brew for you a pumpkin stew of scary bats & spooky cats with a spider web or two" and is decorated with a stitched cat, bat, spider, cauldron, and pumpkin. A wonderful addition to any stitcher’s work basket. Finishing instructions are included with the chart for the case and the fob. Nine Ladies Dancing

The design for "Nine Ladies Dancing" is from a Dutch sampler by Ann Margarete Janssen dated Anno 1750 den 2. Januari, (January 2, 1750). The Marking Samplar used motifs or adapted motifs from old samplers. The model is stitched on 35-count Confederate Gray from Weeks Dye Works and 40-count linen with DMC embroidery floss.
