Joseph D. McCabe President/CEO, DMC U.S.A. Executive Director, DMC Asia: "On December 29, 2008, the ownership of Dollfus Mieg & Cie (“DMC S.A.”) was transferred to the Bernard Krief Group of France. The Bernard Krief organization is a consulting/investment firm, headquartered in Paris, with worldwide holdings and more than 45 years of operating experience.
During 2008, DMC S.A. has been undergoing major restructuring, including the legal separation of the various elements within the Group in order to create separate and independent operating business units. This acquisition by Bernard Krief represents the culmination of that process. The purchase encompasses DMC assets and operating units worldwide, including all personnel and operations of both DMC U.S.A. and DMC Asia, as well as the manufacturing and logistics activities in France. While the immediate focus of the new DMC organization will be in assuring a seamless and efficient transition of administrative and technical matters, the strategic plans will provide new opportunities for growth and expansion of the existing DMC businesses, especially in conjunction with the current holdings and proposed acquisitions of the Bernard Krief Group."
