Counted Cross Stitch and Counted Needlepoint

Did you know that charts and patterns used in counted cross stitch may also be used for counted needlepoint? It is easiest for needlepointers to use patterns that are charted in full stitches only, not those with quarter or half stitches. Patterns with backstitching may be used if you wish to leave out the backstitching on your needlepoint or put it in after your piece is stitched using a lighter weight thread. Stitching counted needlepoint gives needlepointers a wider variety of designs from which to choose. Keep on Stitching! Beth
