The Colonial Needle Company has announced its acquisition of the hand-painted needlepoint canvas business from Caron International of Washington, N.C. Until November 2006, that product line was owned and distributed by Westex Corp. of Union, N.J.
Caron hand-painted needlepoint designs are the exclusive properties of their respective needlepoint companies, which Colonial Needle will continue to work with on proprietary and confidential distribution agreements. Colonial has two factories which will assure quality workmanship and turnaround time of 4-to-6 weeks after receiving purchase orders.

Hand-painted needlepoint canvases complement and expand The Colonial Needle Company family of stitchery-related products, including Colonial brand Rosewood and Blonde Wood knitting needles; Colonial brand knitting, sewing, and quilting notions; and fine English tapestry, needlepoint, sewing, and quilting needles sold under the brand names Colonial, John James, John James of England, Richard Hemming, Mary Arden, and S. Thomas & Sons.
